I was touched by a friend's testimony in church today.
About two months back, I heard that she'd been very sick and was just a shadow of herself. Before going to see her, i called a pastor friend and together we went to her house. I could not believe my eyes. She weighed not more than 30 kg and was just a bag of bones.
She could barely sit for five minutes much less stand. I was glad i brought the pastor with me. We spoke and i asked her what her relationship with Christ was. She said she had not really prayed a lot and had almost lost hope and joy in living. I told her to believe that with God all things are possible and that Jesus is the reason why we live. She gave her life to Christ that night and started coming to church after a long while. She had to lean on me during the services sometimes because she was so weak.
When i went on leave and came back, i had not seen her for almost two months. When i saw her in church today, i could not believe my eyes. Tears welled up and i nearly started crying.
She had made up her hair, put make up, she had gained about 20 pounds and even wore heels. She looked so beautiful and she was dancing and laughing.
And she said she was thanking God because someone came and took a picture of her and sent to her grandmum who had seen her about five months earlier and was just waiting for news of her death. When her grandmother saw how good she was looking, she called her and asked her to tell her what happened. She told her grandmum that it was Jesus.
Her grandmum had been to church only once in her whole life and refused going to church. But today, her grandmother asked her that she also wants to learn more about Jesus. Her grandmum asked to be taken to church. Her grandmum said she must lwarn and know about that Jesus.
My dear friends, her testimony helped to bring her grandma to Christ. Who knows if that sickness was so that God's glory could be manifested as she got well so she could be a testimony to someone else?
The life of a Christian is a life of testimony and miracles.Share ur testimony today and give someone else hope. Rejoice when bad things happen to you. Do not fret because all things work together for good for those that trust God and are called according to His purpose. ( Romans 8:28)
God is still in the miracle working business. The lame still walk, the blind still see, the sick are still healed! Just trust in God!
Blessings,
La Marj
